HIGHLIGHTS from 2010
2010 was a busy year ! Several new pieces evolved and I developed some exciting collaborative projects.....
REFLECTION BOWLS

Water is the obvious theme here, however it is reflections that are a main focus in this work.
The bases are designed so as to reflect in the highly polished surface of the bowls.

Fired by the imagination of the curator, at the new Cider Press Gallery in Devon, in 2010 I collaborating again with textile artist MARY BRODIE.
Our new piece was twice the size of our first colour concept piece and measures 80cm wide and 100cm high.
The vibrancy and impact of this work is a real feast for the eyes ! The exhibition showed during September 2010
and also profiled the work of ULLA HUTTUNEN & ARTO SLAMIEN - enamel & wood designers from Finland.
And still on the drawing board.......
When I can, I like to get to the print room workshops at The Bluecoat in Liverpool.
Since a workshop with Anne Desmet I'm experimenting with wood engraving applied to decal paper.
It's probably a project that will run well into 2011 as at the moment there are not enough hours in a day !
.....but I hope to make range of editioned jewellery at some point soon !
